Germany just put it on Australia. They should showed Germany they were worth it. Ain’t happenin.

Am I the only one annoyed by those freaking Bumblebee Horns? God Damn.

No, I hate them as well. Annoying as hell.

Also what happened that caused Cahill to get a Red?

A regular slide tackle, that really had no malice. It was a horrible call that deserved nothing worse than a yellow.

Oh nice…lol. I mean it’s not like Aussie is going to do anything special in this cup or any cup for that matter… >_>

That’s two tournaments in a row that Australia’s been screwed though.

It’s not even the matter of being screwed, they should just stick to Rugby haha… they don’t have the talent in soccer.

Yeah Cahill’s tackle was definitely a yellow but red overstepped the bounds on that one. Sucks for him though - you don’t work 4 straight years to get kicked out of game #1 and miss game #2.

I can see that… the only real asians going to do something.

I think Nigeria could possibly turn it around… but Greece is done.

^I agree. I wouldn’t count Nigeria out.

^I think we can gauge Nigeria’s advancement chances based on their match with Greece, but their defense had too many gaps against Argentina. I’m going with Korea as runner-ups of the group.

The Socceroos had Japan, Croatia, and Brazil. They went to the Round of 16. How were they screwed in any way?

Yeah the Socceroos didn’t get screwed b/c Cahill won’t matter. That team is lousy. They were lousy against the US and now lousy against Germany. They’re going 0-3.

USA all the way.

lol if USA does go “all the way”, or even make into the round of 8, I will shamelessly try out for my school’'s varsity soccer team next year.

I think he’s talking about the penalty in ET in the Round of 16 match.

Yep, Fabio Grosso or whatever his name was collapsing in the box in stoppage time with clear daylight between his legs and the defender.

^Yeah, that was a brutal call.

I could see an upset by Slovenia this Friday upon seeing their performance today.

I think just general recent history in US football should be all the reason for an upset in the making. USA generally plays very well as an underdog. We saw that vs. Spain, Brazil, and now England. However, they tend to play a little more conservatively when they are the favorite. I hate to say it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this game is either still 0-0 late or 1-0 Slovenia after the first half.

^Let’s hope that doesn’t occur.

I wonder if Japan will win.
