55 days (!)

Omgahhh!!!!!!!!!! I've been waiting for this forever. I love Yale so much. What if we actually got to go????????????????????????????????????????????????

Ahhhhhhhhhh. Now I need to go study for SAT 2s and finish application essay. blergh.

milessmiles:

I have not recieved my yet and I applyed last week. Did you get yours yet???

OK I confused myself with that last post. What I"m trying to find out is did anybody get their ELI account PIN # and if so how long did it take after you submitted the application????

Lol I should steal one of these posts for the "why" question on the Yale supplement

I'm visiting the Uni in late November; app will have been shipped off for quite some time, so it'll be a bit nerve-wracking but still important. Until then, I'm just studying hard for Subject Tests and the ACT.

Anyone else have visit stories/experiences? What about interviews? Does Yale do alumni interviews? I'm scheduled for an on-campus interview, but can I get both? I love talking. :)

I went in the summer, and the tour was absolutely fantastic. The tour guide was eager and friendly (and he was a theatre major. Pride!). Although at the end, he told us about rubbing the toe of the Woolsey statue, and I flat out refused, not being superstitious.

If I don't get it, I'm blaming it on that toe. ;) If I do get in, I'm proving that superstition wrong haha

i loved the atmosphere of yale, but i visited in the summer when the people weren't there. someone told me that during the school year yale is actually very depressing.

Depressing? How so? I am actually a little curious about New Haven in general; I hear it's kinda sketchy. :

If it's any help, I got lost with my sister after the Yale tour getting back to the train station, and we walked around town for like an hour and we never felt threatened or anything. Just felt like another small town. :)

Some parts of New Haven kind of felt off - empty in the middle of the afternoon, closed stores, industrial - but most of it was really nice and warm.

49 days!!!!! that's 7 weeks! less than 2 months!

^ i truly cannot wait.

I asked the elihu yale facebook person when the notification date was, and they said it wasn't confirmed, but that the latest would be the 15th. This technically means that it might be the week before the 15th (since the 15th is a monday). So it could even be 40 days!!! (optimistically) :)

Sooooo looooong to waitttttt... :/

I just sent in my application today and I feel so relieved. Now all I have to do is play the waiting game. I'm in there with you all!! Dec 15th is closer than many of you think! Imagine, one out of five or six of us (based on prior Yale SCEA admit rate) will get accepted. However, SCEA is a very strong pool.

Good luck to you and me!

yeah, but the thing is CC applicants are stronger as a whole than the rest of the pool. So whenever you check a CC results thread, the acceptance rate is ALWAYS higher than the college's average.

It felt so strange sending my application off...can you believe it? Only a month and a half away.

That's in no time....

YES, finally sent it off tonight! It's out of my hands.

This feels awesome but also terrifying.

Why are people afraid of New Haven... seriously.

I live in LA... can't be worse than this...
