Is this not needed? Please tell me it is not. I don't want my score to be delayed. :(

it is not needed.

SSN is Voluntary, not needed if u don't want to disclose it.

if u were standby i think its needed..but if u weren't then dont worry about it

oh phew! thanks guys!

I didn't even think they asked you to fill it in.
When I took the test the spaces for SSN said it was only for standbys...

Well, I took my SAT this Dec and it said us to put our SSN if we want to.....(but yes, probably for the standbys, it was necessary, I can't really remember from the top of my head though!) Don't worry NDjake u'll receive ur score at the same time everyone else do.

heh thanks. Hopefully there is improvement in my score. Tomorrow is my 18th birthday as well. It will either be a good birthday or a very bad one. :( 26 won't be getting me into Notre Dame, Boston College or Wesleyan.

If u don't mind, what is 26? Is it it the date u r talking of or just sth else that I couldn't comprehend.

The score i need to improve on. Yeah it's that bad.

now, NDjake, I might sound a bit stupid, but I still can't get it! What does 26 represent? Is it the raw score u've to improve on? or what?

composite score. jeez lol. Yes, my composite score is that bad. I am kissing goodbye to my top choice colleges as we speak.

It is for standbys. If you didn't give your SSN before (got an ACT ID instead), you CAN put it there if you want to use it instead of an ACT ID. Then it will go on your reports to colleges and stuff.
