Hill double over KC double. I'm starting to think that Hill single was a waste of a spot.

you're fine, really

May I ask how the following set up looks? In ranked order 1-8. May I also ask how competitive the two residential programs, Mentors, and SID are for entrance? I really would like either one of them, with the quad being an extra benefit.

Mentors-Riepe RIEP-10 Single Room
Study of Diseases/Women in Sci-Ware WARE-10 Single room
Fisher Hassenfeld Col Hse FSHS-10 Single Room
Stouffer College House STOU-10 Single room
Kings Court-English CH KCEH-20 Double room
Hill College House HILL-10 Single room
Rodin College House RODN-23 Double (2BR)
Harnwell College House HARN-23 Double (2BR)

It looks like you'll be living in stouffer

And don't waste the last two spots. I mean there's a 0% chance of getting those but you WILL NOT get a double in the highrises, ESPECIALLY if it's choice 7 and 8!

what's with all these singles? having a roommate is a wonderful experience. besides, singles are MUCH rarer (check out the number of rooms under 'residence summaries': http://www.business-services.upenn.edu/housing/hillsummary.html) (much more expensive: http://www.business-services.upenn.edu/housing/frent0708.pdf and the 1976 version! http://www.archives.upenn.edu/primdocs/upa/upa1_1/70s/19760319a1.pdf) and upperclassman jerks like myself take most of the quad singles :-P

don't live in the highrises as a freshman. I don't know how many times this has to get repeated

gah more misinformation. the only upperclassmen who live in hill are the UCB. This amounts to like 10 people of 500. Also, Hill will not fill up. It's a huge building, and that's where they put the people who don't get any of their requests.

Having a roommate sucks. Live in a social place, without a roommate, not an antisocial place with a roommate.

Perfect mix of two: single in Hill.

Don't listen to Matt he fraternizes with mexicans

having a single is only nice so you can masturbate whenever you want to. get a roommate. live in a social place. make real friends, not weird ones like jco and meng

matt must not familiar with the concept of "private time" with the opposite sex

singles rock

cmon sexiling and getting sexiled is a part of the experience

It's not like there are 20000 other people at Penn to befriend aside from the roommate you never had or anything

sexiling is deadweight loss if you think about it

just cus no one wants to live with you jon...

actually i have an alternative to buying the single. sell me your 360 in exchange for the single. that way you can still play it.

Exploit your friends why don't you

other side note: Believe I heard that if you get into a residential program, but the housing isn't there to accommodate your preferred choice you will still be in the program, except with an alternative type of housing?

don't think so. they limit people based on the number of places they have. if you don't get in, you return to the regular lottery for the next round.

If you apply to 2 res programs in the quad, what are you chances then of getting your first two choices? (Given you took the essay seriously...)
