If you don't get into the top 3 (which are all basically the same) you'll get into Stouffer. Are you cool with living in stouffer?

is there a reason i shouldn't be?
i chose stouffer bc of its proximity to the quad/everything else and relatively bigger rooms, but other than the quad, i'm not sure what i want

if you dont get into the two residential programs, you will probably get Stouffer (dont know if you like that or not). Putting Ware third (or any Quad house actually) basically means that you will not get it because MANY others will have them first or second.

It's not really a mistake if you like Stouffer, or if you know you will get into one of those residential programs.

those r similar to my choices too..
wat r the reasons to not like stouffer??

The top three are pretty comparable. Stouffer's in a really nice location and very convenient with nice rooms, and it's okay socially but not as bustling as a place like Hill, Kings Court is kinda isolated, the High Rises... I wouldn't recommend those to freshman. Hill is great for a good social life but the rooms are pretty awful (but you have a single listed so at least you won't get a Hill double)

Edit: Stouffer is pretty quiet because of the large number of singles, and some of the people are meh, but I find that in all college houses. It's really a great place, in my opinion, and I say this after having spent a considerable amount of time in all the other college houses with the exception of Gregory and KC. The Stouffer rooms are some of the best on campus, and it's pretty much close to wherever you want to go with the exception of DRL.

i guess my question is:
what would be preferable for freshman year? i'm social, plan to rush, will party, etc etc but i want my own room and clean living conditions (which is why i put hill last). i'm kinda worried about the lack of freshmen in stouffer and the highrises, but i liked both of the rooms.

stouffer single vs. harnwell single room in quad vs. kings court double?

from the description you gave, the best is definetly THE QUAD. But, just like anything that is in very high demand, not everybody gets it (roughly 60%).

You should def try for the quad

firefight!

You will not get the highrises, especially where you have them. It's essentially a waste of a spot.

I'd go for a single in Hill.

Damn, is it possible to make a change? I realized that I put KC over Hill Double :( (as in number 5 vs number 6)

when do hill singles and hill doubles fill up?

Venkat - unfortunately you cannot make any changes, at all once you submit it.

Abhim- Hill is not that popular, however, most people choose the three quad houses as their first three spots, and then hill as the fourth spot (although the rooms are small, it is very social which is what most people want freshmen year)...with this in mind, I would say hill fills up after the 4th or 5th choice. So if you have it after your fifth choice, I would say its basically a waste of a spot.

Some people are placed into Hill randomly after not getting their top 6 choices, so I would say it is pretty open.

thanks... it's going to be my fourth choice. should i chose a single or a double in that case?

also i know hill is known for being a social place. can u still get that with a single? or are most of the singles reserved for upperclassmen?

base it off of your preferences, if you put it fourth (and do not get the quad or whatever you put 1-3) you will most likely get it (no matter if u picked double or single). Do you know what you are choosing for your first three choices?

I really want my first choice and/or to be in the Quad. I regret my order now :(

Venkat....what's your order ???

Riepe single
Fisher double
Ware double
Hill single
KC double
Hill double

your order seems fine...why are you regreting it??
