Oh God, that freak wants me to chance him

I’m doing SCEA, bad choice? Anyways im a new guy who's desperate for some insight, so give it to me. HARD. ;)

I have taken all Honors/APs
Sophomore: AP Bio (5)
Junior: AP Chem (5) AP US (5) AP Lang (5)
This Year: AP Econ Micro/Mac, AP Lit, AP German, AP CalcBC, AP Euro

I have recieved one B+ over my days, and a few A-’s (all in English classes). As a commitment I’ve taken band every year, senior year i could not take AP Physics because I already go to the school it is offered at for 1st hour (German). Most of my grades are A+’s, but I sadly know unweighted GPA doesnt count them, so i think id be at a 3.89-3.92 ish range. Unweighted i’m 4.27, top 5%. (Really #2 but our school doesnt rank)

SAT: 2100, BUT i retook it, hopefully successfully, this OCT
SAT II: Chem 800, US History 780, Math2 780
ACT: 35 (I live in MI, and that’s how we dooze it)

My common app essay is going to be okay. I really can’t judge writing as well as others but I’ve gotten a few teachers and my parents and I read Harry Bauld’s book, so idk, I hope I shine in some respects.
As for recommendations I think Im good.

SAT score is very low, ECs look a little odd (all the 2010 things look like you’re padding your app), and an “okay” essay isn’t okay. The one thing that really sticks out is the sousaphone and the music aspect of your ECs, but even then, you’ll be competing against professional musicians for your spot. You are simply another fish in the pool, so I highly recommend getting on those essays.

^he had a 35 on his ACT, which will make up for the SAT score.
Who knows, write a good essay and hope for the best.

ivyeic-you’re right, i did start a lot of things then, but only a few ec’s were done with college in mind, for example i joined track and XC for exercise, not to pad my app. I did jazz band for fun. And by “okay” essay I dont mean to say im not trying, its just that I cant judge how much somebody will like it. That’s the case with most modest people id assume.
BTW, i retook the SAT, i just havent gotten the scores back yet.

Anyways, thanks to both of you. I was aware that I was a just folk in the grey area, so hopefully my recommendations and essays will be good.
