^ The wait for college must be dreadful! I have a friend who almost went into hysterics while waiting for his MIT early admissions results… Luckily he got in!

My friends were surprisingly zen about it, one was deferred and he just simply shrugged and asked if I wanted to grab some pizza.

Does anyone know what happens to CC on March 10? (It’s my first year here.) I can never seem to find any prep related posts that were posted on M10. Does the server get overloaded? Or do people just not post?

Oh there’s a lot of posts.

Goodness. CC on M10 is a madhouse. “Does this mean I’m in?” “YAY, I’M IN!” “Have you heard from _______ school?” And then the multitude of kids whose hearts were broken and parents telling those who got good news to be sensitive.

And then there’s a lunatic who pulls off an all nighter bombing CC with posts. :-/

And then there’s that annoying stargirl girl who writes posts thanking everyone for supporting her and takes away the audience from things that actually matter like whether I’ll ever get off Deerfield’s waitlist :-/

I only use Deerfield as an example because they waitlist over half of their applicants.

All the little things, am I right?

M10 seems so close yet so far. Remember two months ago when now seemed so far away?

Kind of…

@mrnephew Hey, you have nothing to worry about on March 10!

@mrnephew well of course. probably eating his feelings.

@fluffymilk I’ve seen a few posts where they have this very systematic color coded list of who got in, wait listed, and rejected. Also, I think one asked how the entire application process went (i.e. interview, gpa, extra curriculars). Very, very busy on M10. 80 days and counting.

I know that A and E send their decisions out around 5-6 AM. I almost don’t want to check the second they come out because that means I will either go through the school day incredibly depressed, or I will show up to school maniacally laughing and grinning to myself the entire day.

@flufflymilk how did you like exeter’s campus?

@flufflymilk how did you like exeter’s campus? also, I feel exactly the same way about M10. I really need to remember not to have any food in my mouth at that time (sorry, very disgusting visual)

@02gloves I thought Exeter’s campus was wonderful! It is a bit further north than where I’m from, so I still saw some patches of snow over there. The buildings are pretty close together which gives it a cozy feel. (I especially like the fact that two of the girls’ dorms are connected to one of the dining halls.) It was very traditional but in a great way and their science building is amazing. Their library is impressive as well.

Lol, if we’re sad, we don’t do eating, we do the watch How I Met Your Mother.

HIMYM is good for the soul.
