Oh God, this is actually happening.

For schools’ notifications, check out my spreadsheet from last year. I’ll put up a 2015 one when M10 gets closer.

<a href=“How Boarding Schools Notify Applicants 2016 - Google Sheets”>http://■■■■■■■.com/ccprepschoolnotification2014</a></p>

@stargirl3 The link doesn’t work for me.

@fluffymilk‌ when did you take your test?

@02gloves I took it once in November, and then I took it again last Saturday. I’ll have to wait around a week for the results to come back though.

@fluffymilk‌ Lots of studying, I assume?

@02gloves Yup, my reading score was awful the first time around. (82 percentile) Unfortunately, the math score isn’t looking too good for me this time. I don’t think schools like to see a decrease in scores. (I got into the 91 percentile last time) And I am hoping for a good math score too as I got a B+ in math this past term. Oh well. We’ll see.

@fluffymilk Try again! I fixed it.

@stargirl3 It works! This is a great spreadsheet btw.

@fluffymilk‌ Doesn’t the percentile rank tell you how much better you did than other students who took it? So, you did 82% better than them?

@02gloves Well it’s basically saying that I placed in the top 12 percent. I know that the scores are actually quite impressive, but I’m wondering if they are impressive enough for Andover and Exeter. Many kids applying there have scores above 94. I do have a bit of a far-fetched plan to get into those schools though… so maybe SSAT scores aren’t going to affect me too much!

@fluffymilk‌ What I’ve read around this site is there are actually some people who didn’t do as well on their tests as others. I wouldn’t put too much pressure on your test scores as you are. They are obviously an important aspect of the acceptance process but as far as discerning whether you get in or not…Well, I can’t be for sure but I wouldn’t say so. Also, the tests do in fact have some things you haven’t covered yet, especially in math. Take into account that this test is also for 12th graders. (I could be wrong, but I don’t think they have a specific test for each grade…Just lower, middle, and upper. Please correct me if I’m wrong) Go easy on your test scores. I’m sure you did great anyways seeing as you’ve tested with a 82%.

@02gloves Yeah I guess I should be happy that I got a 92 (or 93?) overall (2214). Thanks for the encouragement!

On a completely unrelated note, I just got promoted to Junior Member!

Lol congrats @flufflymilk

I’ve been at 500 posts for a long time now… Predicting that will go a LOT more up before March 10th,

@02gloves, re: post #70, the percentile rank is based on your placement compared to a 3-year running average of all students who took the test in the US in your grade and of your gender. It will feel a bit low as you are only compared to other high-achieving prep-school aspirants of your age. Look at this thread (particularly the link in post #9):

<a href=“SSAT overall percentile? - Prep School Admissions - College Confidential Forums”>SSAT overall percentile? - Prep School Admissions - College Confidential Forums;

And SSAT’s don’t cover materials for 12th graders. That would be ridiculous, considering that the majority of BS applicants are 8th graders going on 9th graders.

My mistake. I’m new to this entire process, thank you for clearing that up. I was just thinking ISEE wise since that’s what it said in my practice book, if I remember correctly. :-)

What I said applies to the ISEE as well.

Thanks for the spreadsheet stargirl3 I have been looking for something like that. Do you happen to know if the Deerfield decision is about 7AM or 7PM.
