The thing is, if you do decide to retake it and only send the scores from your second taking, you would lose your Chemistry 800 (which imo is harder to get), because they only do score choice by date. If you can retake both chem and math ii and get an 800 in both… well, then maybe it’s worth it. :)

Is this a joke…? 770 is obviously DISMAL… you’re never going to be successful…

That’s awesome! Don’t beat yourself up… That’s not a bad score!

EducationOD, your post is of great interest to me. Are you sure that one cannot handpick which scores to send when taking multiple tests on a single date? I never knew that, but I suppose that it is a mechanism employed to combat surreptitious cheating.

guys what do i do? i got a 810. i really want to get into harvard and people at school tell me i need to hit 110% percentile. what should i do?

(hint: sarcasm. go on with ur life TS. grow a pair and don’t worry. work on ur ECs. instead of spending like 20 hrs studying for a test just to get an 800 is a waste of time. it would be better to use those 20 hrs for volunteer)

@ EducationOD and Mordred, Score choice for Subject tests is by individual tests, not test date (that’s only for SAT I).

[Score Choice - New SAT Score-Reporting Policy](Send SAT Scores to Colleges - SAT Suite | College Board)

“Designed to reduce student stress and improve the test-day experience, Score Choice is a score-reporting feature that gives students the option to choose the SAT scores by test date and SAT Subject Test scores by individual test that they send to colleges, in accordance with each institution’s individual score-use practice.”

I felt the same way about my 790 on the SAT Reasoning Math OP. I think you should retake it as long as you are absolutely confident you can get an 800 the second time around. If not, be happy with your 770 and move on…SATs aren’t everything…

MIT, one of the best math and science schools in the world, has said that as long as you score over a 700 on the math SAT II they don’t really care what you get. An 800 over a 770 is not going to make your chances to get into a top university.

Might as well go to community college with the POS grade.
