...Ahhh?
I checked my online school account (for high school) and it said that the transcript request for Maryland is "pending."
***?? I turned in all of my other transcript requests in earlier and they are listed as "sent," but my Maryland transcript request is "pending"....and today is November 1st??? Does this mean I won't be able to apply early and will have to do the regular decision? I really need to apply for the merit scholarships so I am really really freaking out bc I'm OOS and can't pay for Maryland if no merit scholarship is given..the admissions office is not open so I can't ask what will happen..any words of advice/experiences you'd like to share about not getting the transcripts in on time would be much appreciated!

Send a message blaming your school immediately, then all will be fine.

Are you serious???

hold on. lets not get too crazy yet. I would call them tomorrow. Talk to your school and amke sure that they havent sent it on friday. After all mail usually gets picked up AFTER the offices have closed. Talk to your guidance counselor tomorrow. I am sure you will be fine.

Is it a Naviance site? I think that the counselors have to actually change the status on it themselves because my daughter has had many transcripts sent and received by the colleges and the Naviance site still says pending. My point is that your transcripts may very well have been sent but the status hasn’t been changed. Call your guidance office tomorrow and check. Don’t worry!

There is another thread about this. It took two weeks for my son’s things to show up on the website. I wouldn’t worry about it, but I did call admissions because I was nervous and they did put a note in his application. Besides, I think I saw something on the website that the deadline had been extended to the 9th.

^^^Exactly.
Go to school tomorrow, and no matter what don’t leave without finding the exact date they sent it. If you can’t have the folks do it. Then, call to make yourself feel more comfortable. They really will work with you and place an annotation in your file. Tell them this is the date the school sent it and by whom it was sent. Then keep an eye on it.

Also make sure you get the name and ext of whom you spoke to, for 2 reasons. 1. When it shows up on your file, you should send their boss a short positive note about that person helping you. 2. When it still doesn’t show up, then you can call back and say I am and so, I talked to you on X date about my transcripts…

It allows you not to play the story all over again, but get to the point immediately.
