I just went back and looked at your thread to remember who you were man. I envy your ECs so much. If we could shake ourselves up in a bag and produce two hybrids, we'd both totally go to Harvard on full rides, they'd pay us a friggin salary to attend.

So do you have any opinions on my chances at the specific colleges I listed?

I pretty much know the ups and downs of my stats, just not what the colleges will care about and which ones I'm in at.

i think if u can get sat 2 scores maybe four or five of em over at least 700 (doesnt necessarily have to be like 800s) ur in good shape for top schools on ur list. dam i envy ur 2340! soo frickin high! and EC wise..... i think its good enough that u did ur best to try to get involved even though not a lot was offered. also u did very well on numerous ap courses. that will definitely show how capable u are of handling college work. i envy that too. dam it seems ur very strong in academics, and academics counts 3 times as much as stuff like ECs so........... u seem very eligible for the top schools on ur list.

yea AP classes will really prepare u well for SAT 2s. maybe take em at the same time as the AP exams since ull be studying for ap exams. lol im not a good advice giver, i dunno why ur asking me lol. i think ur more likely to go to harvard or something than i am.

What? Is your family some sort of super-rich tycoon mafia family that can somehow afford multiple houses in California? Maybe you are the Godfather after all!

What you thought the mafia thing was a joke? Could that be a hook?

Anyone know my chances at the ivies. I've got a good idea about the UCs thanks to Flopsy. Tulane and Austin College have been mentioned, and that's it.

I believe SCEA means that you can only apply to one school early, and so you can't apply ED to another school. I think you're right though--you can apply EA and ED if the EA isn't single choice. EA, however, does not help your chances that much--mostly it saves you money and time so you don't have to apply to the schools you like less than your EA school if you get in.

You'll get in somewhere great, it's just a question of where. Write great essays, do well on your testing, and find some ECs that require more initiative on your part and are unusual to improve your chances. However, make sure you enjoy the ECs you participate in or else you'll be miserable! Plus, schools can often tell whether you actually care about your ECs or not.

NICE SATs! try taking some SAT2s, since you're good at that stuff! Try doing some ECS? Perhaps write about volunteering in your essay, it's something you have.

I would take the IIC ASAP before you forget all your precalculus. The rest of the tests I would wait on until the May testings (right after or before APs, it works out great)

There is no calculus on the IIC.. there are some kind of quirky math problems that you might not remember how to do, though, so I'd buy a review book before taking the test to make sure you know everything.
