^It’s okay, I think I don’t really qualify enough to be inducted into the group anyway. (There was a thread about it somewhere though:/) Besides, CPA already converted me to CCism through his big-brotherly influence, so I already feel quite included here in HSL.

Don’t feel bad. I know a kid at my school who got three 1’s.

I don’t have to pay for any of my AP Exams. The school does. So I didn’t lose anything.

I’m guessing your school practices grade inflation.

Grade inflation.

Perhaps the school’s classes weren’t very good. Even so, one should always depend mostly on books for AP courses.

oh noes, it’s the end of the friggin WORLD!

^Son? this isn’t the jeepbroski I know. Son I disappoint.

Um, Sorry if this is a dumb question, but, what is grade inflation?

jeepbroski- what are ur AP scores son?

Hahaha love it

Just so AppleBeam isn’t confused, it would be because the material is too hard but I know what you meant.

In high school son.

idk how hard your high school AP classes are, but they are supposed to be difficult so that you can get 5’s on your exams. My AP US history and biology classes were challenging and I got 5’s on the exam. Of course, you have to study by yourself in your own time, but usually, the harder the classes, the better your score would be.

Do you guys think that colleges will be able to look past my poor AP French Exam Grade if I take the exam over again Junior Year. I was only a sophomore when I took the exam and I think that grade is the most important out of the three. Or I could just take the SAT II French. I’ve heard its a lot easier.

mwahahaahahaha

^^It doesn’t matter what grade you took it in. You took the class, which should have been sufficient unless your course was awful. Junior year is the most important year.

Why do you feel AP French is the most important – just wondering?

“I was only a sophomore when I took the exam”
It doesn’t matter that you were only a sophomore. I got 5’s on my exams when I was a sophomore, and there are tons of people who get great scores when they’re freshmen too. Your grade doesn’t or at least shouldn’t have anything to do with study habits.

It’s when your school gives out good grades too easily, i. e. they aren’t representative of your actual achievement. In a non-grade-inflating (and non-grade-deflating) school, getting an A strongly correlates with getting a 5 on the exam, B’s correlate with 4’s, C’s correlate with 3’s, and so on. If a school gives A’s to students who end up getting 3’s and 4’s (and lower) on the exam, that school probably grade inflates.

Or they cheat.
