Help me out, or I will go into a deep state of mania and depression :) I would like to apologize in advance for the long post.
Heres the deal - Within 2 days, I will start my first year of High School.

I will hopefully be signed up for :

Algebra II Honors
English I Honors
World History Honors
Earth Science Honors
Pre-Calculus w\ Trigonometry (Honors?) [-EGPY-]
*AP BC Calculus at UNC-CH, North Carolina State, or Wake Tech.
*French I
Healthful Living

The asterisk denotes courses that are pending. Currently I am signed up for two other classes - Computer Applications I and II, but hopefully I'll be able to switch out. I will most likely be taking French I, and the slot for Calculus needs to be opened up in the second semester. I'll try to work it out with my counselor; I just met her at the Orientation and she seems very articulate and knowledgeable. She has guided many students to top Universities.
Firstly, please evaluate my schedule. Is it lopsided? Just right? Whatever it is - all comments are welcome; I will only take it positively.
Second - I will be starting a few clubs aswell. I have spoken with my counselor, and she says I will be able to form them after I talk to my teachers, get a sponsor, and the student council approves it. I will hold the rank of "Co-Founder", by which I am assuming the teacher would become the "Founder" of the club. For sure, there will be Science & Math; I have elaborately planned these two out. I am also looking into debate, however, it is arbitrary. If you want further details on how I planned my other two, or would like to give me some personal advice, please PM me.
I visited my school. I am put to awe still by its size and beauty :) Brand new, over $50MM spent on it. The class sizes for Chemistry and many other classes are 30 + ... so I will be competing against many ;) Many old faces from MS...

I always thought of myself mentally and psychologically indestructible; but now, I am very uncertain of how things will turn out.
So, in general, help me out, give me advice, general tips for High School, everything!!
Thank you so much guys! :D

How are you going to take Algebra II Honors, Pre-Calculus w/ Trigonometry, and possibly AP BC Calculus all at once? Seems like a bit too much math to me..

Also, is healthful living required? If I were you I'd take something more substantial and interesting.

Other than that, looks good!

Algebra II in first semester, where I take Pre-Calculus from EPGY after one month, then BC Calculus in second semester.
I love math. :)
Thank you.

It looks good go me. I love math too. I feel bad that I was discouraged to skip years in math back in middle school, though. Now I'm just taking the slightly above average math for my class.
My teachers were totally discouraging "learning ahead" in math. I really, really despise them for that now, because you're taking like BC freshman year. I could've handled it, I bet, because I consistently receive phenomenally high scores in math.
Sucks.

Yes, I know how you feel, but not to that extent. It happened in middle school to me. I had a 106 in my 6th grade math class and proved proficient in the topics even a level above the one I took. However, the teacher placed me in the same route - "Advanced Math". My dad and I had to do a bit of talking to get me placed up ahead. The thing was; before I moved, I was already a level above. >_> Some people just won't believe you. I hope to change that this year.
I am truly very lucky to have this opportunity.

:) You're a very modest person. That's a good trait.
I hope you enjoy your math classes.

^ yes, unlike that masterus kid and sean.

Ok, that doesn't sound too bad. Alg II is basically the same as Pre Calc, so you should be good there. As far as skipping Calc AB goes, as long as you're pretty good at math you'll be able to handle it without a whole lot of difficulty.

What math is available for you to take as a sophomore?

Oh and, you should definitely take French.

As for modesty:
I try to follow a simple quote, by Leo Tolstoy - a Russian mystic and Novelist.
"A man is like a fraction whose numerator is what he is and whose denominator is what he thinks of himself. The larger the denominator, the smaller the fraction."

I believe by next year, there will be APs available. Many sophomores will need to take AP Calculus. Also, AP Foreign Languages, English, and History may open up, due to the sophomores.
Luckily, Computer Applications is overcrowded and they'd gladly let me switch out. So taking French should not be a problem. However, getting transportation arrangements to other High Schools may.

I'm definitely going to check to see if Health\PE is required; if not, WHOOOOPEEEEE!!!!!

Hehe ^_^
More math for me :D

It all looks stressful. But chill. Always remember to set aside some "if I don't take this time off I am going to go insane" time. It all works out. :)

I have one problem: BC is not available at my school, so I will need to go to another High School to take it. We only have one car, which my dad uses. I'm not sure if my HS will provide transportation. But I'm sure other people will be doing it aswell, so they're going to have to do something ;)
Has anyone else done this? What do you say of it?

If PE is not required, then I definitely will :) I'll probably take a Visual Arts class to replace it.
Thank you all for your advice.

What sort of math are you planning to take in Sophomore, Junior and Senior years? There's nothing behind Calc BC in AP route (ah that CollegeBoard) :(
But good luck to you, I just happened to bypass Pre-calc to take Calculus and I feel your joy :)

As to transportation, I doubt it that your school will provide transportation -- so don't rely on it, try buses or transferring to another school.

At this school, I'll become the Co-Founder of as many clubs as I want. In others, I'll merely be a member. Here, I have opportunities to show leadership qualities. This is why I don't wan to transfer out.

Yes, by school providing transportation, I was referring to mass transit by buses :)

Wonderful. Once again, I have lost all piece of mind.
Turns out, none of the course changes I requested are available. Apparently, Chemistry is too full, and my father and I "Do not understand the order of mathematics levels." according to my counselor. I don't believe she looked at my reasons for change requests at all. The only thing I can do at this moment is

1) Keep my scheduled courses, which are pathetic.
World History Honors
Earth Science Honors
Biology Honors
Algebra II Honors
English I Honors
Computer Apps I
Computer Apps II
PE\Health.
2) Get a full reschedule, meaning all my periods for certain classes would be changed, and ones I'm taking now may be switched into the second semester and vice versa. All this has to be done to take French. Yes, French.
In order to take a foreign language, that has to be done. Otherwise, I will start a foreign language in 10th grade, which I absolutely refuse. I would much rather self study. Any tips here appreciated.

So, my decision is to coughscrewcough the school and do everything on my own. This will only make me more motivated. If approved, I'll take 3 or 4 math classes outside of school. Possibly 3 from EPGY, and one over the summer, starting with Pre-Calc and progessing up to Linear Algebra\Differential Equations. I will dedicate 12 hours a day to studying if I have the oppurtinity to prove the school, and the counselor wrong.

Ah, tell me what to do, before I start breaking things. And people. And counselors. :)

I love proving people wrong.

If you are able to arrange and manage a schedule that will "prove the school, and the counselor wrong," I say do it.

This is only if you really know you can handle it. Your councelor's advice is coming from years of experience dealing with kids and their courses, she's bound to have some idea of what would be overwhelming in most situations.

Aah, spelled opportunity wrong. :p

No, I didn't tell her that I was going to do courses outside of school. I just asked her about EPGY, and she said you'll need to talk to the main counselor about the list of approved summer programs. In fact, I'm about to call her right now.
Lets say I didn't mess up my whole schedule to take a foreign language. What now? Can I self-study? I doubt they'd let me... -_-

What exactly would happen to your schedule if you added the foreign language?

Yes, I believe that you should look at your foreign languagery schedule and compare it to the one without French.
Try all different combinations.
Also, why don't you ask if you can bypass AlgII and take Pre-calc? Try speaking with math teacher and see if he can approve you.
I don't know if they let you even skip AlgII and Pre-calc but it worth trying.

Try everything you can to get schedule you like -- it really sucks to have bad schedule.

mr_chipset, I would try to do that, but my counselor probably wouldn't approve. I self-studied it over the summer. My math teacher is very nice, but I don't know. sigh

Heres the detail:
French = 2nd & 3rd Period Only, both semesters. Same with all foreign languages.
My 2 & 3 = English I H and Alg. II H
My 1 = Computer Apps. I. How awesome. -_-

This means, I would need to find an Honors English, Algebra II, or Biology (4th) in 1st period. Biology is only 3rd and 4th period Honors. Either English or Math needs to have 1st period.

Then comes the predicament.

Of course, my second semester may not be such an unlucky coincidence, and I may be able to take French. But what to do with the extra Computer Apps?!! I don't like to waste time in school. It would be much better if it was Java Programming instead. :p

Try that, ask about parent overridal, try getting math teachers into the game. If you self studied it, there's no need for you to be in that class and you should practice your persuasive skills on councelors :)
Beside, you can try figuring out something with the late arrival -- EPGY.

It's time to become independent. You should figure some of these things out for yourself. It's your life, not ours. You're still asking us to give you directions as to what to do. By the way, I doubt your parents will have the time for you to take classes at that place. One car is very hard to live with.
