Oh wow 3 study halls

I'm taking 5-6 APs this year and I still have 3 study halls somehow :)

AP Study Hall for the life.

I'm taking 5 APs and have my 2 frees (lunch/study hall) in a row in the middle of the day, I'm excited. Only for the first half, but still exciting. :)

hah i wish i had a study hall first bell or my ap classes after lunch!

I'm taking two colleges classes during the school day and btoh don't meet every day, so I only have an hour of afternoon class each day and then two labs each week... which means a LOT more free time for me. :D

Just a reminder: colleges hate study halls. My aunt is an admissions officer for Cornell, and just as I was about to take study hall sophomore year, she criticized me for doing so and made me quit :(. Yeah, so I suggest filling those study halls up with easy normal classes?... Erm...

Hmmm, well I took two study halls two years in a row, and it worked out fine for me [plus I got into Cornell ;)] but yeah i love study halls though teachers were getting upset that i would roam the halls since basically no one in my grade was actually in my study so instead i just audited a physics class and it was fun since the teacher would let us leave class to get dunkin donuts or starbucks, etc.

I'm filling them up, I have one "normal" class first half and two the second (so I'll have one free...or my lunch rather, then) but I'll have 2 out of our 9 periods free first half. My GC literally refused to let me take 5 APs without it, sat me down and made me drop one of my 4th elective lol.

How do you guys cancel your lunch? Isn't it only about 35 minutes long? I'm on block scheduling, and I would like to switch out of Lunch :D But each of my other classes are 90 minutes. How does it work? Sorry for hijack, just kinda popped up into my head.

Every school has a different schedule. Mine has three hour-long classes, 45 minute lunch, then three more hour-long classes, so you can't possibly skip lunch. Even when we had schedules when lunch was assigned like a class and was as long as a class, we had a school law imposed that said we HAD to take lunch, just like now we still HAVE to take a study hall.

for sophs they dont give us a choice whether or not we get the study hall we just get it, 2 days a week though not every day. the other days we have pe, health or chem lab.

There's nothing wrong with 3 study halls if you can't fit anything else in. I have 2, and it was impossible for my counselor to put an everyday class in.

Unfortunetly, I don't have any study halls. In my school they aren't even study halls for upperclassmen. Instead upperclassman (well smart freshman and above) go to the commons area where you do whatever, which usually isn't homework.

In my school there is always something else that you can take for electives or another class.

I don't think there is anything too bad with study halls if you take all the core classes and nothing else fits.

I don't even get the study hall option. I have four hour long classes, 30 minute long lunch, three more hour long classes... THE END.

A friend of mine last year (9th grade) had 5 study halls, and was taking all honors. He's really lucky. lol.

Yeah, we don't get the study hall option either. However, some of us do get "off" periods where we can basically do anything (not just study).

Oh and i havn't/ cannot get any study halls, but then again it looks better fo most colleges right?
