I was looking to transfer to a couple of schools for the fall of 2005. One of the schools is UMD. On the website it says that you need to have an english 101 class and a math class that classifies as college algebra. The problem is that i didnt take a math class this semester, im taking it the spring semester. Will they still count that class or not since i havent finished it by the time I apply? Also in my english 101 class we had to turn in a portfolio and that basically decides if we pass the class or not. Im pretty sure I passed but just in case I dont pass english 101 and take it again next semester will they count that too?

Sure... I suppose. As long you complete those classes before you enter in that school. Otherwise they'd just revoke your admission... take them in the spring semester or over the summer. Just explain that you'll get those requirements done.

...although, make certain that UMD will accept your english class if taken the summer prior to enrollment; some Universities are very explicit about finishing the required english and math classes by the end of the spring semester. Good luck!
