OK, so I am at Cornell

If anyone has any questions for admissions committee, besides ED date, put them here and I can ask for you.

can u please ask them if we're allowed to double major in hotel management and a major in another school. thx so much!

and a question from a previous pose asked: when you check your application status, does it say just Congrats or Sorry, or is there another link that says check decision here?

Ok, so far:
1. "Is it possible to particpate in a double major in the School of Hotel Administration in addition to another undergraduate school."
2. "What is the protocol for informing applicants of their decisions via the Status Page?"

I went to a Seminar ( they did a hotel visit) a while back and liked Cornell's Chem Program, although I'm leaning towrd Pharmacology/PharmD but I thought 2 things could I ever get in, and if I could , could I ever afford it, besides the you never no until you try approach, All my stats are good I do great in my classes Ap/Honors etc., except my ACTcomposite doesn't reflect- 33 in math ok but my composite only 29. ( I know thats their low to mid range).
The second thing is I have no money. We did have some, but dad out of work for over a year, mom went back full time but not much$ and needed to pay mort, taxes, living.
Income approx 30K this year and 50K the year before usually about $ 60-70K, but economy here ranks last. Even if he does get a decent job again, they are playing catch up on bills, mounting credit debt (good credit score still intact) etc.
All these colleges talk about their aid packages, so far all I've seen is 50-70% in loans. I don't want to put my parents in more debt. Should I forget this pipe dream and keep searching. Lastly I just seen this post and haven't checked if too late to apply for fall 07.

Uhhh I think that is a question you might want to ask on your own...I dont mean it in a mean way. Its just a little personal...

Ok, well not too late to apply for fall 07 and I dont think that admissions grants financial aid.. i think they are kept seperate on purpose.

Evet the only real answer you will get will come from applying. Apply...it can't hurt. If you get in they will send you your aid package. Don't let money hold you back if you don't even know how much they will give you! They give 100% need aid. The grant/loan ratio is the thing you will have to find out about; that will come when they send you your package. Until then, good luck!

yummi...you cant double major in SHA and another school,,,,,,but you can have multiple areas of Concentration in the Hotel school (e.g., you can have a concentration in Finance and Hotel Management) Good luck with applications

do you have to send the first quarter grades?

agh jcollege GOOD QUESTION this is giving me panic attacks.

good call on the first quarter grades question

Ok, No you cannot double major in the hotel school and another school. ED date is Dec 14, 5:00 PM EST. First Quarter grades are not required but encouraged if they will help your chances.

ahhh thank you SO MUCH ach :) I can now breathe a little easier.

first quarter grades for engineering?

did you find out about the "protocol" notifying us about decisions?

hey just a question if u are still there, if my father graduated from cornell's grad school, does it count for full legacy like an undergraduate father??
i called admission and they said yes but just want to double check from someone besides the secretary who sits outside

Yes it does count as legacy. As long as he got the degree.

he got MBA and MS...spent 4 years there lol

he actually got his MS in my intended school for my intended major (operations research) which is kinda neat considering the major really isnt that popular, but how do u know tho fedmom1080?
