Okay..Guys.I really need u guys to help me..Im really nervous and depressed

First..Im only a HIGH SCHOOL freshman.
its really hard to me to make a decision now.
My district changed the courses.so we are taking Geometry and Biology as FRESHMAN
I have Geometry Hnrs.basically.we are on the same thing as our Sophomore people.
of course. My grades drop too.so for my first semster. i had a 3.2 GPA.
and I wanna get into a UC..and I know its still unpredictable
and I also know its impossible??but I wanna ask..if I wanna get into UC college..
what are some possible choices?? and srsly. as long as I get into a UC college.I dont care..
I really need some advices..

Just focus on getting good grades for the next two years; if you throw yourself into your studies, there’s little doubt that you’ll end up with a high GPA. Besides, if you’re taking harder courses, and colleges know that, they’ll consider that when analyzing your grades.

I’d advise not being on this site as a high school freshman. It’s not necessary.

Relax. You have a lot of time to raise your GPA.

I found this on the UC site…To determine your eligibility, the University calculates your GPA in the “a-g” subjects by assigning point values to the grades you earn, totaling the points and dividing the total by the number of “a-g” courses. Points are assigned as follows: A=4 points, B=3 points, C=2 points, D=1 point, and F=0 points. (Pluses and minuses are not calculated in the grade point average.)
Only the grades you earn in “a-g” subjects in the 10th and 11th grades - including summer sessions - are used to calculate your preliminary GPA. Courses you took in ninth grade can be used to meet the Subject Requirement if you earned a grade of C or better, but they will not be used to calculate your GPA.

so does it mean that they dont really care about our freshman GPAs?

Calmate, amigo. Close your browser, or at least the window in which CC is being displayed.

Yes they do not care about freshman GPA’s. Start trying Soph. year, take hard classes and do well. Just make sure you do not overwhelm yourself, but at the same time, challenge yourself.
