okay-so we were waitlisted; let's talk about that

The title is self explanatory. Let us work through these fresh decisions by talking about: what got us interested into THE College of William and Mary in the first place, how we feel, and what we plan to do now.

To start off with a little background I am a female IS Senior. Living in the Hampton Roads "historic triangle" area has made history a passion for much longer than I'd like to admit. Visiting the campus experiencing its history(with a modern twist) is always a treat; around four years ago I stayed a few nights on campus, and have been in love with the school ever since!

The decision was both disheartening and revitalizing, this "state-ivy" still has interest! To all else in the same boat as me- keep your head up!

My son was also wait listed for both regular admission and the St Andrews program (economics). He was accepted at GMU and will probably end up going there. W&M was his first choice and he’s a bit down today. Being pulled off the wait list looks to be a long shot.
