<p>I'm applying to the College of Arts and Sciences and CALS, and I'm wondering if it's okay to recycle the college interest essays? Not completely, I'll change it slightly, since the prompts are a little different, but I incorporate many similar ideas into the two, with some similar wording.
Is this alright? Does the same admissions officer read for both colleges, or are they read separately?</p>
<p>I’d say it’s advisable not to, since the missions of both colleges are different. You really want to show how you’ll use the programs in each college in the essay to show “fit”. You’re rarely considered for your alternate choice college. In past years, only a handful (at best) have been considered for the alternate choice.</p>
