I visited OCU 2 weekends ago with my mother. I really liked it. Id love to get some feedback from anyone who goes there or has also visited!

OCU is the first school i have visited (im a junior! one more year, thank goodness!). What are other good MT schools? cincinnati? fsu? boston? nyu?

feedback please! i need help

go the FAQs at the top of the page and go to the link it says to go to....The Big list on the FAQs page tells you all the schools that have top MT programs

you really need to just go back and read through this forum. it will answer all these questions for you.

Caitlyn,

As BroadwayWannabe has old you, your 1st step in your college search should be to go to the Big List on the FAQ page and take a look at the schools marked with a +. Those schools are especially selective and are the schools that most people consider to be among the better programs. Many people have tried to figure out which programs are at the very top of the heap - i.e., top ten. I don't think anyone can answer that. I think that if you asked each poster on this forum, people in the business in NYC, and MT instructors around the nation, you would get a different list from each person you asked. What is really important is that you get the training you need to help you become the most well-rounded and most skilled performer you can be. The programs that are best for you may not be the programs that are best for someone else.

In order to find those programs that are a good fit for you you need to do some homework, or have one of your parents do some for you. Take a couple of weeks to read through this forum all the way back to Jan. 2003. There is an incredible amount of valuable information. After you have done your reading, you will be in a better position to know what questions to ask. Everyone on this forum was at one time exactly where you are now - at square zero.

One other suggestion for right now. After you've taken a look at the Big List, go to the websites of some of the schools whose names you recognize. Read what the schools have to say about their MT programs and, most importantly, look for the 4 year curriculum guides. You may have to do some digging to find them, but they are there. (Sometimes you have to look in the course catalogs to find them.) I believe that it is very important to know exactly what you will be studying. You will see some big differences in the curricula of different programs.

I could go on, but 1st, do your reading. You'll probably find that most of your questions have been answered, including a lot of questions you probably don't even know to ask right now :)

Have fun with your school search!
