Old man has a question

Hi there,

I graduated from a liberal arts school in the US a couple years ago and I am trying to help my sibling with their college application process. I was wondering if you guys paid the $16 fee required for the CSS app fin aid app that is required by certain colleges. I would like to avoid it if possible.

Thank you for your help in advance. Let me know if you have any specific questions about the application process - can't promise I'll get to them in a timely manner but I will try my best.

If you explain your financial difficulty, the colleges will send you a fee waiver code

mumford7,

Is that true? We can get exempted from paying that money for CSS profile?

Are you asking for a full ride? If so, the waiver would be fine. Or else, the college will start doubting if you will be able to contribute to the tuition ( the amount you have agreed to pay), since you are asking to waive the relatively small CSS fee. I suggest you pay for your top choice colleges, and request a waiver for the rest :)

Yeah, 3 colleges sent me the waiver code
