I've heard from both current and former Olin students that although the business curriculum is outstanding at Wash U, their recruitment is not as good. I'm wondering if Olin is a good choice then...my other options are University of Michigan (out of state so tuition is ridiculous) and UIUC (instate but not strong in finance which is what I'm interested in). What should I do?

Recruitment has improved a lot in the past few years. I even met one of the old business school deans (now working for a real estate investment/development company in the area) who had started the big outreach to Wall Street firms, and he was even impressed how far it came since he left. I have many friends who are graduating and going to work for well known companies (not just in the midwest), and even received very nice sign-on bonuses. If 98% of students searching for a job received a job offer within 3 months, the recruitment or connections are still decent.
