Olympic Gold Medalist

Dude, what college do those gold medalists go to? And which colleges wouldn't accept them?

Wouldn't that be awesome to put on your resume? I wonder why none of the trolls have though to put that in their "What are my chances" threads. Hah.

It's come up before.

Sarah Hughes (women's figure skating gold medalist at Salt Lake City) is at Yale, I believe. Was watching ice dancing last night and one woman (no medal) goes (went?) to Cornell.

Jamie Silverstien is the dancer who went to Cornell.

Joey Cheek got rejected from Harvard EA this year despite having an Olympic bronze and being a favorite for a gold he ended up winning.

did he get rejected or deferred?

either way, damn. he wouldve been so cool to go to school with.

See, I don't think being an olympian is good enough. Sarah Hughes is a bonafide celebrity, so having her at Yale is like free PR. Joey Cheek... not as well known, so no dice there.

Most of the women's hockey players were trained in the Ivy League schools-one of the Canadians graduated from Brown, two from Dartmouth, one from Cornell. I don't know about any of the rest.

haha, yes, sarah hughes attends yale university. actually, my sister goes to yale, and her boyfriend once saw sarah hughes walking to the library. it was snowing, and there was ice covering the ground. all of a sudden, sarah slips on the ice and falls flat on her bottom. i thought that was really funny and really ironic! you know, sarah hughes is a olympic gold medalist for ice skating, but she falls on the ice when she's walking. i don't know, i just thought it was sort of ironic. of course, that is only one example, and of course sarah hughes doesn't ALWAYS fall on the ice. it's just a funny thing to see.

There's an Olympic fencer at Notre Dame.
