!!!!!!!! isnt that smart kjoodles! you deserve to get in just coz of that! world class creativity lol i doubt anyone has ever thought of that before!

Since Pton says it's going to get 500 more students by fall of 2012 (means class of 2016), I predict the class size next year will be 83 (500/6) more people than this year.

Therefore, 42+ spaces for ED people = higher admission rate by increasing 1.9% (75/2200 about). I estimate 30% (from last year's 29%) for ED acceptance rate this year for Class of 2010! Notice, not 1.9% but 1% increment due to 10% in applicants. Good luck to everybody.

But there are also 10% more ED applicants this year... :(

I don't belive that would be correct. Not CLASS of 2012, BY 2012. ("Enrollment is expected to reach 5,200 students in the fall of 2012.") So that would mean class of 2016.
Since that is 6 years away I would assume they might add an equal amount each year ~84 (maybe even less then 84 for the first few years with the destruction of Butler)

Best case scenario, around 42 more spots for ED people ~1.9%.
But i hear the number is probably going to be more like 50 added students making the number ~1%
Thus, ED rates I think will actually DECREASE with the jump in applicants

i agree with you, see my calculations above......

ooo we caught up with the other thread again!! yay

good job to us...........

many people complain about columbia coming out before Princeton....

well....they have ONE essay!

Princeton people have to read like fivish essays or so (can be as high as six....1 long, 2 short, 1 summer activity, 1 what else, if you use common app you can sequeeze in one more in Additional info)

I am not sure about the number of people applying, but they should be comparable...

so cut Princeton some slack....I do like how you get so many chances to show yourself...how are you supposed to give them a picture of who you are in one essay? (and they don't even a give a topic! it's just write a "personal essay"

6 more days until the offical day....

wow.

wow. I didnt even have to write an essay for Dartmouth, just used one I wrote for Princeton.

good luck to all of you guys from columbia (2010 YAY)!!!

so time comes and goes........six more days

4 more days....

You know what is funny... if we get the mail on Thursday that is the same day of the Iraqi elections.. Rather odd conincidence, but I doubt it will influence our decisions. Or the Iraqis for that matter... I don't want to start a debate on the war, only wanted to make that short comment.

I had so better not get it before my last final, good or bad news, I will flunk...

Same thing here, before final, I will not attempt to read any mail..........

for me it would be vice versa

my grades have dropped like a rock because i can't concentrate....once i have my decision i will be a lot more focused, and hence do better

exactly the same here...if i get deferred, i will have NO chance getting in regular--my grades are too bad. it's not senioritis, but princetonitis.

princetonitis....i love it

its so true...like i am not trying to slack off, but if i don't get in, i have no chance of getting in at Princeton or another decent school for that matter.

The classes got tougher, and teacher blame us for senioritis and they are so inconsiderate...some of my classes have no As at all, or like one A...i have like 5 Bs this quarter....so yeah, i DEF need to get in ED or else i have no hope (I don't wanna go to Nova....snowdancer will get it, its our local community college)
