One of the most depressing, most greuling part of high school isn't the long hours studying for tests, SATs etc. or planning for college app. Its actually what to wear!

My school requires uniform but I don't wear that crap anyway. (although its the same color of my future dream college; light blue & white) But what do I look like looking like everybody else? Yeah Right! Soooo I'm kind of stuck deciding what should be my first impression senior year outfit, That is, first impression on teachers.

Yeah, My teachers are like Brown U students; very trendy and fashionable.

So what should I go for? & yes, I can pull off any look so please don't give me the "Not every look is for everybody" kind of answer

A) The Preppy sophisticated look?

B) The urban look?

C) The Punk Rock Look? (Pschyeee!! Psycchee!!) I do love Linkin Park and Fall out boys though
D) Or should I just stick with the boring "Look like everybody else" uniform so asking for recommendations would be easy

----Ok let me know what you guys are rocking

Ummm... if you're required to wear a uniform, won't it make a bad impression on teachers if you break the rules the first day? If not, then just go for whatever look you think will appeal to your teachers.

Kids still break the rules! 9th grade they were very strict about it. Wait, I'm exaggerating! The farthest they've gone in disciplanary action was making phone calls home....wwooowwwww!...how strict. My junior high private school sends you home if you don't.

Over the years since kids don't comply, they get tired of it. So I just take advantage. :D

Squirrel, I have a kind of tantalizing thing about me that makes the teachers not want to scold me.

I don't get why people make a big deal out of first day of school, I don't even remember what I wore the last first day of school, what happened that day, let alone what anyone else wore

its a big deal because everyone is seeing you for the first time since last spring! plus its the first time in 3 months you really have people caring what you look like. and you don't want them to think you look boring do you? :) it's just fun to get excited about it.

Thank you katie, I just wanted to let someone else answer that question

Hey alamode, nice links but I don't deal with payless & I'm a dude. I love the green AE stripe shirt. ohhhh & you can never forget H&M either. LOL

I can't believe a guy is more into fashion than I am, life is too short and busy to worry THAT much about clothes, casual and fun is great on most days...

did you go look at my previous posts or something? ya I freaked out about that, pretty bad, but making the most of my life does not equal freaking out about what to wear at the first day of school either...

My advice: wear the uniform. Who cares if it's "boring".

In 10 years, no one will care what jeans you wore, how your hair looked, or what shoes you wore. What WILL matter is what you learned and how you used it.

My school has required uniform as well, and kids complain about it all the time but we all still wear it.Why? Because it's just not worth the struggle against the administration.

Besides. The teachers may not care, but I can almost guarantee your parents won't appreciate getting a phone call home on the first day.
