i am applying to jhu/peabody double degree program and my applications were supposed to be received by today (December 1). Peabody has received my double degree application, but Homewood has not.... due to problems caused by UPS. I'm trying to get this fixed ASAP. What else can i do??? should i notify JHU??

ok the application is in route again... and will be received on tuesday. what do i do now?? =(

call/email jhu admissions and tell them the situation

Was your deadline a postmark deadline (in which case you're fine) or a received-by deadline? If it was a received-by deadline, nobody's going to be opening mail over the weekend anyway, but you might want to call on Monday and let them know its coming (see what Admissions_Daniel has to say about this). Application deadlines in general are rarely 100% strict and it's probably not like they won't consider your application cause it arrived one day late.

S2530S2:
Just to clarify. The deadline (POSTMARK DEADLINE) for your Peabody application was December 1st. For your Homewood application, the deadline is January 1st. So there is no need to be concerned. I am not sure why you thought the Homewood deadline was December 1???

The application I sent in last week was the Application for Double Degree, not the regular admissions application for JHU... sigh Well anyway, I'll call the JHU admissions office tomorrow and ask them about it.

If you are speaking about Form #10 of the Peabody Application - "Application for the Peabody/Homewood Double Degree program" - then just know that the form needs to be duplicated. One copy is sent with your Peabody application and that form needed to be postmarked by December 1st. The second copy is sent with your Homewood application, and those materials just need to be postmarked by January 1st.

So the forms you should be concerned about are the forms you sent to Peabody, as you have not missed any Homewood deadline. If you are going to call this coming week, just call Peabody admissions.

Yes, I am speaking about the form #10... Hm... I am planning on doing my Homewood application online... So is it okay for me to mail the Double Degre Program Application and take care of the rest of the application online?

Yes you may apply online. My suggestion is that you have the Double Degree Program Application form sent by your school along with your high school transcript, school reports, etc. That makes it much easier to process everything.
