I’m really worried about the essays. I never finish on time or write full 2 pages. =/

You don’t have to report the AP scores you don’t want to. Colleges don’t ask for your AP scores when you’re applying. Honestly, it’s not a big deal, really. Relax.

so what MC scores equate to a 4 or 5? I missed 7 out of 55 questions on my last practice exam. Also, which section is worth more points? The MC or the essays?

I believe it’s 45/55 for MC/Essays.

I sincerely hope that we don’t get double poems.

I didn’t ask rescind. I asked rejected when I’m applying next year.

And if we dont report ap scores, colleges will think we are not “challenging” ourselves…so we are stuck either way (atleast for me)

and no idea for 4 or 5…and only 7%!!! oh man

colleges really dont care about ap scores. actually, bad grades on AP exams mean you have to take that class at their school which means more money for them haha

Just took it (I’m overseas).

MC was not very difficult,
and this is coming from someone who did his first set of practice MC last night.
One poem was confusing, but the rest were fairly easy.

The essays were really hard though.
POEM COMMENTARY WAS A KILLER.

^That’s scaring me. I just woke up from dreaming about literary terms for 5 hours. I slept terribly.

I already dislike poetry. Dammit.
Have you ever written any AP-style essays before though? :(

I’m overseas too, so I’ve already taken it as well. The essays were fairly difficult, but the MC was actually not so bad. I was mostly concerned about the free-response question, but it turned out to be the easiest essay…so phewww. And in terms of studying/memorizing literary terms, it wasn’t really necessary since the MC mostly deals with in-depth comprehension, tone/mood/attitude, and word connotations.

Not bad at all!

MC was normal. One of the essays was pretty difficult I thought.

I didn’t think the multiple choice was too difficult, but the essays were outrageously easy for me.

MC was easy. We did maybe half a practice test this whole year, but most of it was just common sense. There were less than a handful of questions that gave me any pause at all.

Essays… First was cake, very similar to something we did as an in-class essay, though from a different work (same author, though). Second was a little harder – took me awhile to figure out what my point of view was, but once I had it, I think it really worked. Third was easy, and was easy to do without risking summary, which is something I was worried about.

I’m pretty sure I got a 5. If not, a 4, definitely.

The MC was straightforward, except for the third one where there were 1-2 questions that I spent a lot of time on.

The essays were incredibly. The first was very simple (though there was something I consider myself clever for catching), the second basically wrote itself and the third was so easy the only to worry about is how the curve could be skewed upwards because of it.

Does everyone get the same test?

Would it be fair if people got different tests?

yeah i think the mc curve is gonna be brutal this year

and wow my essays were really boring and ****ty, i felt much better after lang last year

I dunno, there are a TON of not so smart people who take AP English Lit, and because there are no poem tests in class, the exam is likely pretty hard for many kids.

Richard parker richard parker richard parker

I actually… pretty much bombed the MC. I made the mistake in leaving only 3 blank.
The essays were easy though. Except for number 2… which I thought was a little tricky.

Hoping for at least a 3. Above average. :D
