OMG i need advice from current Cal students.

Im admitted to Cal as a chemical engineering major in College of Chemistry.
I have several questions here…

I took Calculus BC test in junior year(which was a stupid decision i think since i got a 4) and i scored 4 on both BC and AB subscore. AP credit policy says that students who scored 3 or 4 are recommended to take math 1b. Is it ok if i just skip math1b? I think i will review Calculus before i study at Cal…

How hard are English courses as GE in Cal? im planning to take AP Eng Lit test and pass with 4 or higher and take another English course at a community college near my house. If i pass AP exam and take/pass English class at CC, do i still need to take any English course at Cal, b/c i know i will fail in English. So basically how many units of English are required to graduate? and How hard are English courses at Cal. Ill just let u know that I came to America 3.5 years ago.

Can i easily change my college into another college? I want to go to either Haas in my junior year or college of Engineering as a BioE or MechE. I plan to go to either med school or business school. I don’t know if it matters if i study in College of Chemistry or different college to get in to med school. All that matters is which college is easier to maintain high GPA…

I wonder how hard classes are at Cal overall. How many hours do you guys study? Do you guys know anyone doing double major in business at Haas and engineering major at College of Engineering. What clubs are beneficial for pre-med, pre-biz students?

Thanks you.

According to this

<a href="http://math.berkeley.edu/courses_AP.html%5B/url%5D">http://math.berkeley.edu/courses_AP.html</a></p>

you'd need a 5 to get out of 1A and 1B, in which case you can enroll in a higher math course. The College of Chemistry may have a different policy, but from what I've heard, you really should only move on to higher math if you're sure you have 1B material down + the additional topics.

As a ChemE, all you need is credit for English R1A so should you get a 4 and are certain that ChemE is what you want to do then you're done with English..

ChemE is NOT a major even Geniuses can expect a high GPA in.
