<p>So is it pretty much a given that if you score that high on the practice tests, you’ll score that high on the actual test? DS got his SAT score back today and got a 560 for CR and a 550 for math. He never did a complete practice test just question of the day type things. I was very surprised his math score wasn’t higher since he does well in math in school. Maybe practice will improve his score?</p>

<p>SAT Math and school math are certainly different - but not mutually exclusive, of course. The SAT is specifically designed to assess mathematical reasoning rather than mathematical achievement (such as school exams).</p>
