Congrats on your (tough) decision. Good luck.

Well, welcome to BC, then! Hope to see you around next year!

^I chose BC over a few “better” schools, too (including the Penn WL, which was pretty active this year), and I am very happy with my decision. I’ll see you this fall!

Yup, I’ll see you guys there. I’ll be the one with the Super Fan T-shirt on. ;-)

Good for you for taking a close look at both campuses and going with, what has to be, a more personally informed decision, than to simply assume that because Penn is an Ivy there is no question that it one would choose it over BC.

That’s an intelligent and mature thing to do. Penn’s loss is BC’s gain.

Just know that you are not alone. Even in my day (the early 1970’s dark ages) there was a number of students who chose BC over Ivys, Seven Sisters and other “better” colleges.

May BC help you realize your potential over the next four years!

Minimal FA (unless you are a Division I athlete) is in the Jesuit tradition. Notre Dame, Fordham et al are similar.

Notre Dame is run by the Order of the Holy Cross, not the Jesuits.

It’s a common mistake, but the Order of the Holy Cross is considered an upstart by the comparatively ancient Jesuit Order, whose educational mission was part of its original charter back in 1535 (the founding date, I believe).

Let Notre Dame play football, they’re better at it…at least they USED to be!
