Sounds good, I want to know if I need to hold back laughter for my friends:)

It’s going to suck, but the soundtrack is surprisingly indie for a mainstream movie…
Bon Iver, etc.

i am totally going. i won’t be wearing my “here for the lulz” shirt though, because i don’t want to get beat up by crazed fans.

Ebert’s review

lol i can’t wait to see this. i’m pretty sure it’s gonna be crappy but it’s a cultural phenomenon so it’ll be fun to observe ppl get twi-fever. who knows, maybe i will too if it’s any good!

and yup s.meyer has really indie taste in music, and some of the stuff she recommends is quite good

lol omg that review. scared now.

Ok so i read the whole series and loved it… watched the first movie and i vow to never watch another Twilight movie again, they are nothing like the books and it is stupid to name a movie after a book when only 40% of the stuff in it actually happen in the book… honestly i hate the movie Twilight and i am definite that i will not like the other movies so i’m just not going to watch any more of them

Anyone else think Harry Potter was terribly overrated?

Yes, I think both are haha

I’m still going to see the movie though.

okay, so, i had originally refused to read the books for about 2 years when all of my friends were going bat**** crazy over them. but then, one day last year, i finally picked up the book &, i had to admit, is was really good! who fuc king cares if stephanie meyer has the vocabulary of a 5th grader & basically repeats the same 5 words a million times over [chagrin!!!]. & even though i don’t even LIKE the bella character [book OR movie, mind u], that’s not even the point. the point is that the series is addicting as HELL, & anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or is purposely trying to be ‘anti-mainstream’ or whatever.

yeah, the first movie, itself, sucked. & this one probably will, too. hell, 75% of the acting is just horrible. whatever. i can ADMIT all of that & still say the storyline itself is pretty interesting. & something about [most of] the characters just draws u in. so, please…all of the people who say they’re going to see the movie ‘for the lulz’ or whatever must actually at least be a little interested in the story…why else would some one waste their time & money? lol, that would just be dumb.

haha, sorry for my mini-rant. i just hate it when people shut things down & can’t give things a real chance out of pure stubbornness/ignorance. no one intelligent is going to ‘look down upon u’ just because u admit u like twilight.

p.s. harry potter is way over-rated, i don’t even know why :P

Haha, no I’m seeing it for laughing, I’m serious:> This is coming from someone who read all four books:) I admit that at the time that I was reading them, I liked them, but I’m begin to become less interested with the books and movies. Maybe it’s due to the fact that stores are selling clothes with the name of the movie on them at the mall:/ I find that to be obsessive.

Whoo going this Friday!

I’m not really *that *excited, but whatever. I didn’t see the first one, nor did I read any of the books, so I’ll probably stay confused throughout the entire film.

I read the cover : Vampire book.
Then I read the first 60 pages. I saw no vampires. End of story.

warts, i wasn’t taking directly to u. just, in general :)

i just came home from watching and it wasn’t great but i didn’t have high expectations… i think it was better than the first one though.

Was it really? Was it humorous?

D hates Twilight and was appalled that a girl wore a Team Edward shirt to her AP Lit class today. And I am a 45 year old mother that hates it too. I think all of that unrealistic romantic hogwash is worthless for young girls, and I am glad I don’t have to argue with my daughter to not go see a movie premier at midnight on a school night and then miss school the next day, like some girls at her school are doing.

Yes, those people that do that would be my friends haha
I agree though, I think the clothes are a little obsessive and extreme. Like I mentioned previously, I’m going for humor and to be with my friends. I haven’t seen them in a few weeks so it will be nice:)

New Moon is by the director of American Pie.

The plot kind of sucked and it seemed to move really slowly until the very end. It was humourous to listen to girls (and their moms) oo and ah over edward and jacob. they started to clap when jacob took his shirt off, lol. But, I don’t think people at my showing were the super obsessed people. As I was exiting the theater, I saw people lining up for the regular midnight show and they were fully dressed up and everything.
