Omg We Have Snow Day Tomorrow

you do know that that's a good thing, right?
Or do you want to go to school?

We had one yesterday...because it was too freaking cold for the bussed in kids to wait at the bus stop. I swear, this is the first time in my history that I have ever seen this happen. My teachers said that they'd never seen anything like it themselves. I guess our high temp was like 3 degrees and the windchill was like -25. Detroit MI.

EVERY SINGLE SCHOOL IN THE TRI-COUNTY AREA IN DETROIT MI HAD A SNOW DAY MONDAY EXCEPT FOR US AND LIVONIA...

3rd straight snow and cold day right in ohio! =]

a little cold never killed anyone.

hey, I'm not saying that the snow day was valid or anything; I'm just saying what happened.

as it is, some stupid @$$ parent is already filing a lawsuit because his son got minor frostbite from waiting at a bus stop in which the driver never showed.

But whatever; this is the same school where last year, only 25% of the entire school showed up for school one day in october because it was an arabic holiday that was written wrong on the calendar a day late.

And the same school that had 3 fires in one year, including one this year already.

And the same school in which the principal was caught installing video cameras in the boys and girls locker rooms, with a tape feeding into the assistant principals office.

Point being: my school does weird #$%% like this all the time.

The cutoff in our district is -14 w/ windchill. But they don't announce it until like 5:30 in the morning :(

yeah, we didn't even know what it was. We have never had such a thing, ever, I do not even think in the schools history. It was weird. Usually, in the entire winter we might get a -7 or so windchill, maybe twice, and that is it. I thought my dad who lives in the desert in colorado only had weather like this. We were colder than they were!
