When I was selecting my schools from Common Apps, I searched for "Cornell" using their search thing. 2 results came up, "Cornell College" and "Cornell University." Thinking that Cornell College is just the undergraduate admissions school for Cornell University, I clicked on "Cornell College."

I only realized that Cornell College is a completely different school (in Iowa) than Cornell U (Ithaca, NY).

What can I Do!!?!?!? Since I submitted ED, does that mean I have to go if accepted?

And then, you'll just have to apply RD to Cornell U.
Look on the bright side though: it seemed like a huge, terrible mistake - but it's easily fixed (even though I'm nearly positive you can't apply ED to Cornell now even though those were your intentions).

This very story is on the cornell dear ezra segment lol. Not trying to be mean here but maybe you should pay more attention when you do something important like college applications.

Well get used to Iowa, i heard they have good potatoes there. Wait, that's Idaho. Well, I'm sure you'll find some redeeming factor about it in your four years there.

DUDE, have you sent your transcript? I believe you Guidance Counselor does that, so Cornell can't accept you without seeing your transcript. Unless they were bent on getting you in and accepted you anyways, you should be fine unless you already sent your transcript.

I know for a fact that it definitely happens on a year to year basis, as i posted earlier, at a visit day this summer to Cornell College, they said every year they get a number of applicants that think they are applying to Cornell University. They get a good laugh out of it.
