Hey all, I was admitted and plan on attending but I’m wondering what housing is like at UW. I saw somewhere that most of the “normal” kids are in the greek system and most of the dorms are filled with study-crazed asians and international students but I could be totally wrong (and probably am since that’s a pretty stereotypical statement anyway). Where are the best places to live as a freshman. Are there any places I should avoid?
I’m not a “study-crazed Asian” or an international student, but I am definitely planning on staying in the dorms. Not into the idea of Greek life. I’m also really curious about this because I don’t know much about the dorms either (and I’m also super curious as to which dorm is the best in the West campus)
Also, I’ve done some research and lots of people have said that they feel Lander is the best dorm in West campus…can anybody here confirm that?
My friends and I are going to try to get Lander. He’s familiar with the campus cause he has a brother there and he’s seen Lander! A bathroom for every dorm!
And I think all of the dorms in west campus have their own bathrooms, it’s beyond nice.
How far away of a walking distance are the West dorms from like the center of UW?
I recently visited lander and I loved it. (Yeah the bathroom in each dorm is pretty nice) and it was like a 5-10 minute walk to red square (depending how fast you walk I guess haha) and it was near alder hall/district market from what I could remember. But yeah apparently all the west campus dorms are pretty nice
Are any of the West campus dorms closer to Red Square than the others, or are they all just about the same distance from there?
