On Campus Housing - Selection Date?

just rub it in moldau...rub. it. in.

ekn, you can rub that big fat F im going to get in myf ace later htis quarter

nah, that'll be mean. :p

study hard!!

How likely will i get a single if my sign-up date is on the last day around 10am? If I am unable to then I need a roommate!!!!1 argh I also signed up for priority the first day too. always happens to me, even my priority enrollment is always late lol.

boelterhall, same here :(

crap. well, it looks like i'm back in good old hitch. could be worse... though i would have much rather had deneve or sunset double.

but what do we know? any 2nd or 3rd years who have been thru housing selection their 2nd year have an idea what the priority times mean?

if i want to live in a plaza with a shared bathroom, can i sign up 3 of my roomates for the 2 rooms or do we have to do 1 room at a time?

i think you have to sign up separately unless you guys want a triple.

i'm pretty sure you can sign up together... go to the housing website and find the tutorial. i watched the non-audio version and i think it showed them filling out a suite like that... watch it and double-check xD

im 99.9999% sure the shared triple and doubles are done each room individually.

the only situation where someone can sign up the whole suite is the singles.

i rewatched the non-audio tutorial. 90% of the way in, they illustrate the process of signing 3 people up for hedrick summit 204. the site will ask you which person should be placed into which room (204 A and B were both double rooms).
so YES, you can 3 people up for 2 shared-bath rooms at the same time :D

^^^

I second that. Official word from the housing office.

vtec help b/c u r only 2nd year in sight. is it possible to get double as 2nd year even if enrollment time is no good what does u think

possible, yes. get one where you'd like, probably not.

i had one of the last days last year. when i signed up, most doubles in halls were gone. all doubles were gone in vista and terrace. only place with doubles left were some in sunset and summit....and here i am in a summit double.

why would the doubles in halls be gone before the ones in sunset?

a lot of people prefer the halls for their more social atmosphere. other people cannot or do not want to pay the premium for plazas.

how would choosing a random roommate work because I don't have a roommate in mind and my chances of getting a single are probably gone since my time is on the last day. And were you referring to double rooms as to people who already have a roommate in mind? Because I wouldn't mind rooming with a random person in vista, terrace in a double if their preferences match mine lol.

you just pick an empty room, or you pick a "partially filled room" which already has someone else who selected it.

When it's your time to choose, you get to see which rooms are still available. If there's an empty double room, then you can select it and anyone else coming after you can choose to be your roommate. If there are no empty double rooms and only half-full double rooms, then it's vice versa and you get to choose to be someone's roommate.

ok so you can most likely get a double with a poor enrollment time, just not where you like. i am OUT Of housing if i dont get a double... i had one this year so i sure as hell aint going toa triple

yah... don't get a triple lol. one year turns into a veerrrry long year, even IF you get along well with your roommates (which i do) and a hellish year if you don't.
anyone have chances on getting a RT single on the second day?
oh and... when was hedrick summit built? anyone have any comments on the quality of the building, niceness, etc?
i'm trying to figure out if my second choice would be a summit single or a de neve double... i REALLY would like a single but not if the rooms are crappy or something. i've never been in summit so... yah.
