That's what mines says.... when are we gonna hear? If we don't hear by May 1st, we won't get guaranteed housing at UCI...

Yeah, thats exactly what mine says...

And i just sent in my SIR for SB just in case

karrotz: what if u get accepted by uci tomorrow? what are you going to do about the sir for sb? cause i think imma send mine into sb too.

It is recommended that you do indeed submit your SIR just in case the appeal fails - I think all appeal websites state this. If your appeal is granted, then you can simply change your SIR.

Yeah, just change it. You lose the 100 bucks though, but its better than not having a college to go to

STill nothing?!

When is the appeals going to come out by? I'm worried about housing if I do get in.

nothing.
has anyone called?
i called twice last week and one lady said that we would definitely know by today and the other said we might get the decision after may 1.......hopefully the first one's right.

ahh i am getting super anxious.. im even checking at school..

hopefully we get it today. but i bet you they are checking how many people have sent their SIR and seeing how many spots they have.. just a guess

^^ Yeah, that's what they did last year. Since yesterday was the deadline for submitting SIR's, there seeing if theres enough room for the rest of us. Thats why UCI usually has one of the best appeal acceptance rates.

this wait is taking forever. i want to know already. AHHHHHHHH. one day is feeling like one year

do you know how many people got in with appeals last year

does anyone know how to change the SIR?

what do you mean by change their SIR..

Im predicting May 4th for them to tell us

infamousmile:

i sent in my SIR to SB and if i get my appeal granted by uci, how do i change the SIR from SB to UCI?

you tell ucsb that you got your appeal granted and that you wont be attending their school. you will just loose your 100 dollars. thats all.

I think you go and contact the UCSB admissions office, because it says once you submit your SIR that if your decision changes you should call them and tell them. So I'm assuming you call them and tell them things have changed and you are in fact unable to attend there. Then, just send your SIR to UCI when you find out, they will tell you if your appeal is granted

haha, nvm, answered while I was answering
