I'm applying to colleges this year. I'm Asian. If Fischer v. Texas rules against affirmative action, is this going to improve my shot?

The Supreme Court ruling will come well after college admissions decisions are made for this year.

It will likely be completely irrelevant at the colleges enrolling a majority of college students where it does not matter (e.g. schools that admit solely by GPA / rank / test-score formula, open admission community colleges, public schools which are legislatively prohibited from considering race and ethnicity already).

Nor will it matter if you are in Texas and are in the top whatever percent of your class that will get admitted by rank (or rank and test scores) alone, based on what is stated on the web site of each Texas public school.
