One Bad AP Score

I just got back my AP scores and received all 5s except for a 3 in chem. I am very worried about this because I want to go into medicine and am applying to top universities/ivy league schools. I have taken 6 exams to date all 5s except for chem(I guess I just had a bad day). I also got a 730 on the SATII and all A's in the class. Do you think this will have a major impact on chances of admission? Should I report this score?

Thanks in advance

This will have no impact on your admission chances.

Why would you even ask this? Colleges can understand that it was a bad day. On most applications there is a place to justify any bad scores, grades, etc. Use this and just say you had a bad day and in the class you got an A and it is good if you score high on the SAT II for chem to compensate a little.

The poster above is right. The important part(and what colleges look for) is that you challenged yourself by taking the class and, assuming, did well. Although most colleges do not accept it for college credit you still qualify to be an AP scholar, in your case with distinction("granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams."College Board website).

Don’t worry about a 3, people have received much worse!

Thank you for all of your replies, I feel slightly better. Do you know if it is possible to see if they scored my free response test. I know that some of them were lost and with it being a makeup test I don’t know if there is anyway to find out.
