<p>Assume older is in college at $50k/year and younger is in BS at 45K/year. Will BS factor in college tuition for older? Will college factor in BS tuition for younger?</p>
<p>I have the same situation
S#1's college will not consider cost of S#2's prep school for financial aid, however, the prep school gave us very generous aid when we applied and also let them know that the college would not consider private HS tuition ("it is a choice")</p>
<p>We were able to make it work for both boys due to the generosity of the private HS</p>
<p>It depends. My son's prep school will consider other independent school costs for siblings when awarding financial aid but it does not take college costs into consideration. There are some colleges that will give you some consideration for private school costs. Catholic colleges seem to be good that way. But you cannot assume anything as it can differ from school to school.</p>
