One Last CHANCE ME :)

Boston hopeful  Scared about admission decision, I’ve been getting a lot of rejection letters so I want to be realistic.

W GPA: 4.08-4.1
UW GPA: 3.56
ACT: 28
SAT: 1850

EC: in about four or five academic clubs, one with a leadership position, girls football all four years, 150+ community service hours, self-taught graphic and web designer

Essay was okay.

Please be honest. I want to know what’s coming.
Thank you.

You’re in. Don’t worry about it. Your stats are all average/above average.

to which school did you apply? I had similar stats/comm. service but higher SATs and was rejected to the engineering school.

I applied to the College of Arts and Science and applied for a major in Neuroscience.
I did hear it’s harder to get into the engineering program at any school. They expect a lot from you.

@penguin: Thank you! Just worried. I got rejected from a school that I was a perfect match for (statistically), so you never know. But thank you :]

best of luck to you! i think you will make it.

^ Is it true that even if you don’t get accepted to the school you applied to, you can still be accepted to the University? I have around these same stats ( a higher gpa) and I also applied to the college of engineering which was a big mistake. I have since realized I am no longer interested in engineering and am really worried that this will hurt my chances of gaining admission even at other universities as well.

I believe some are offered CGS but I don’t think engineering applicants can be considered for CGS? I am not sure about this. If you are rejected and still really want to go to the university, there is always transferring after your first semester. Just do your best at whatever college you’re at and have the application ready, the deadline comes fast!
