One last withdrawal consideration

I am a freshman EE major transferring to another university this fall for their computer engineering program. Recently I made two threads considering withdrawing from certain courses I am enrolled in now - one a study on the Old Testament of the Bible, and another a phys ed course. I have decided to not withdraw and stay in both of these classes since they will both benefit me at my new school - the former will count as a humanities elective, and the latter will count as a 1-credit open elective. So so far, no withdrawals.

Now I have one last withdrawal consideration - my calculus 3 course. In the school I'm enrolled in now, all engineers takes calc 1, 2, 3, diff. eq., and engineering math. At my new school, however, engineers only take calc 1 and 2, and then a third course that combines linear algebra and diff. eq. So I'm sure they'll accept my calc 3 credit, but it will do NOTHING for me - it's not part of their curriculum, and I can't use it for an elective because it's "of similar nature to a previously taken course." I'm doing sort of bad in it and it will undoubtedly be pulling down my GPA so this is why I'm considering this. And yes, I've already been accepted to this other school.

So what would you say is best? Stay enrolled in a course that I don't need at all and that I may get a C in? Or take the W? I will call my new school today for their advice on the situation.

lol, it seems like your gonna withdraw from all your classes. Call the school before you do anything. Or just work for one more quarter/semester. I am super tempted to slack as well, but i don't want anything to jepordize my chances.

Lol, no no, there are three courses I've considered withdrawing from, but the first two I'm staying in for sure. If I drop calc 3 it will be the only one.

Like I mentioned, I've already been accepted to my new school, and calc 3 has no place in my curriculum there whatsoever. So it just seems silly since it's a very difficult class (the professor makes it hard) and I'm not doing too good in it.

well, a bit of hard work on my part, made my mid-semester grade report, show a 3.9 in 17 credits at cornell

Okay...

Moving back on topic...
