So I’m in junior year in high school at a school which offers the International Baccalaureate at graduation, but I’m almost definitely going to move back to the US at the end of this year and I am unlikely to go to a school which offers that diploma. If I graduate this year I receive the high school diploma, which is the equivalent of the diploma you get graduating an American high school. However, since I had to apply to schools before I took my 2nd SAT, the only school I could get into was Bentley University with my 1350 SAT score, although I took it again after I got accepted and got a 1450. I want to major in finance, so should I do one more year of American high school or go to Bentley and try to transfer to a better school later (not looking to graduate from Bentley)
You can possibly get in to a ton of schools with a 1350 but Bentley isn’t guaranteed.
And where are you looking to transfer in to? Most of the Ivies/equivalents are extremely tough to transfer in to (also extremely tough to get in to from HS).
I got a 1450 after I applied to Bentley and if I went to HS I could do another one
This is in the International Students Forum. What is your legal status? Are you a US citizen currently living abroad? If you are not a US citizen, wnat would be your status if you attend high school in the US?
What flexibility do you have about moving to the US? Can your parents choose a location where you have the option to continue in the IB program, or do they have sufficient funds to send you to a boarding school where you could finish the IB?
