Has anyone here taken the online placement test for CHEM 0330? I’ve worked through the online course that Brown provides but all the online exams are a total joke and I’m worried that the actual placement exam will be more difficult.

Can anyone give me some insight to how difficult it is in comparison to the online course? Can you take it multiple times?

I just took the placement test and passed 9/12. I only took a basic high school chem course (no AP) and honestly I didn’t do a lot of the “worked examples” in the tutorial. The test isn’t that hard except for the occasional mole calculations. You can’t take it multiple times, but you should be able to do it. Good luck.

No. But I took AP Chem, but that was like 4 years ago so I don’t remember anything. Regardless, the calculations are pretty easy for me (I’m a junior in physics). I’m taking the test later tonight. We’ll see!
