My 17 year old (high school junior) son has been invited to go abroad and trial with soccer teams after a previous two month trial last year. He is an advanced student in a coveted nationally ranked math and science magnet program. I want to make sure I keep his academic record sound in the event he is not signed professionally overseas (or for when he is done with soccer there and will eventually attend college.) So, he needs to complete the final credits for “graduation,” though his current high school wont allow him to actually graduate if he doesn’t attend in person. With the advanced classes he has taken thus far, he can pretty easily do the junior and senior year requirements in one year. We have officially registered him as a homeschool student through our district but the district’s online classes are a joke in comparison to his transcript thus far. I want an NCAA compliant program that will be reputable to college admissions officers that he can manage himself online while he is overseas. I looked into Abeka and they said it is self led and he can manage and they will help get his transcript together. I am not sure if they would be the best but it certainly seems customer service friendly! He has 33 on ACT and will take one more time before he leaves. GPA at high school was 4.218. Advice?
