I'm not sure if I should use online or the paper recommendation. I think using the online teacher evaluation form, it would save me some time, so here are a few questions:

Is the online evaluation secure?

Would I know once the teacher completed the evaluation?

When will the colleges receive the recommendation- is it when the teacher click the "submit" button or when I click "submit" on the signature section?

When I invite Teacher A and Teacher B for a particular college, can I invite Teacher C and Teacher D for another college? or do those teachers get to see that they don't get to write for one of the schools?

Does my counselor have to send transcripts to the various schools via mail or fax separately?

Is there anyway possible to "censor" the evaluations?

Thank you very much.

im pretty sure the online recommendations are new so we dont know many of the answers. i’ll answer the ones i can.

1) i would assume so.
2) yes
3) Well, logically, I think it would be the submit button on the school forms page considering that it doesn’t really have much to do with the student as much as the teachers.
4) the teachers wont see anything. if you want teachers C and D to write another rec for a different college, go right ahead.
5) have no clue lol
6) no not until you’ve been accepted by the school and you click that you do NOT waive your rights.

swim2daend is right. to answer for 5, i talked to my counselor about it. it depends on your school actually. my school for example hasn’t gotten the whole system moved electronically so they still send transcripts by mail, not through CommonApp or Naviance. so defintely check it out with your school to see what they do and then work accordingly with that!
