So, does anyone have an answer to my dilemma. The Common Application uses the Eastern Timezone format and I live on the West Coast, where it is still 9 o’ clock.

Would they still accept my application, though, if I posted before the deadline in my timezone?

Most likely they will, but I think it depends on the school. I read somewhere that Stanford threw out applications that went after the deadline, but I also read that most colleges have a grace period.

nukedom, the deadline is 11:59 PM Eastern time, meaning it’s due at 8:59 PM for those of us on the west coast.
but who knows, maybe they’ll be nice.

i paid my fee to the right school but the wrong school arrow turned green!
even though it says i paid the right one, the arrow is red and it does not say my application is fully submitted. whaaa??

I successfully submitted my Bates supplement, but it still says “Not Submitted” and has the red triangle.

However, on the receipt I printed out, it says the “Effective Payment Date” is 1/4/10, even though I submitted it on the 31st and got the confirmation email. Guess I’ll just wait and if nothing changes call the admissions office on Monday.

Anyone else have this problem with the date?

I got the exact same date for the “Effective Payment Date”.

I’m not too worried about the payment date, since everyone who submitted their application on the 31st would also have their payments by the same date.

I’m thinking we’re okay for that.

I’m more worried about my application date. I hope Yale is one of the institutions that recognize that students live in different time zones.

So does anyone know what’s going to happen to him? i mean to us?
I have the same problem.
I sent email to my college via “CONTACT US”
and explained my or our situation…
i am waiting for the answer but
since its holiday, i don’t think im gonna get the answer soon.

NYU’s deadline is tomorrow
and i don’t think my green arrow is going to show up by tomorrow
and i cannot submit my applications till the green thingy shows up…

So i’m having the same problem as you guys. I paid and print screened everything, BUT I NEVER RECIEVED ANY CONFIRMATION E-MAILS. ahhh.
I’m freaking out!

Yeah, it works. Yesterday, I used the fee waiver request in order to submit Upenn’s app. Today, when i checked, the payment section was updated, stating that I paid by credit card. USe the fee waiver for now and just wait until common app updates the information. Hope this calms anybody worrying.

I was on NetPay yesterday, and trying to submit payment for Brown and Williams College, but I noticed that it said the" effective payment date would be Jan 4". Then I can’t submit common app.(deadline Jan 1)
I tried click “mail check” then I success.

But the Williams “have not mail check”, so I don’t know how do I do?
Anybody can help me? thanks

Hi, I have the same problem but also my common app essay does not want to load. I am doomed for Harvard,Yale and Upenn. I hate this right now!!! What do I do, do I get rejected or not even considered???
