I attend a large public school that is facing buget cut. I signed up for six classes including (english, math, science, history, foreign languauge, and gym). However, I already filled up my requirement to graduate for English in the past three years. Because of the budget cut problem, the school gave an english class to senior that needs the credit to graduate instead of me just wanting to take a class but does not need it. I had to also drop my foreign languauge class due to classes overlapping.
I am currently taking onlyBC Cal, AP Chem, Ap Econ, and gym.
I am curious to find out will having only three rigorous classes in senior year affect college admission.

I would think only having 3 academic classes would impact your profile in the eyes of College Admin.

RUN to your Counselor – See if you can do an independent study course or on-line course. Discuss with your counselor how he/she will explain your small courseload on the rec. THIS IS IMPERATIVE.

Do you work? Can you intern for the school? Basically, you need to be able to “show” something worthwhile with the extra time.

If your counselor explains it, it might not hurt much. You could mitigate it by taking a class at a community college, or a job, or volunteering, or research…

FWIW, I know other people with the same problem.

I will be doing an independent study science class. I tried to speak to my guidance counselor about the issue. She doesnt quiet understand my problem because she said college requires four years of English and I do have four years of English (is only because I took the classses in three years).
Also, I have interned for a company over the summer, and I volunteer too.

Btw, these are my classes for first semester.
In the second semester, besides from what I have already, I will be having an extra honor gov and organic chem.
