Only taking 5 classes this senior year...

<p>Will it be an issue? My counselor said college might be like " Why is he only taking 5 classes." The class I want to drop is journalism. I want to apply and be admitted into a good UC. The current classes I'm taking are </p>

Economics/ Democracy AP
Calculus AB AP
Physics
English Lit.</p>

<p>I took 6 classes in my freshmen, sophomore year, and 7 in my junior year</p>

<p>I don’t know; your schedule looks rather weak. Are you not taking AP physics (preferably AP physics C), AP English lit, and AP Spanish? How many APs have you taken in the past? As for senior year, UC’s specifically look for “…quality of the student’s senior-year program, as measured by the type and number of academic courses in progress or planned”.</p>
