OOS Merit?

Wondering where the OOS merit ended up stat wise. S20 is NOT going to be NMF. Interested in stats need for OOS tuition waiver and if there are any additional freshman scholarships available that would stack.

OOS - Colorado/small rural mountain public HS
current class rank: 3
ACT:35
uwGPA: 4.0
wGPA: above 4.35 (his school doesn’t weight honors so I know it will bump for how FL schools calculate)
11-12 AP/DE completed upon graduation; AP scores thus far have been 4’s.
EC’s solid but not off the charts – Eagle Scout, xc/winter track/track, Speech and Debate (Captain/ placed 2nd at states this past year), Link Crew, full time employment each summer

Interested in biochem/chem or possibly psych (hoping to narrow this down senior year)

Will likely not visit till after decisions are made (if that matters)

The goalposts for the OOS Tuition reduction scholarship, which gives you in state tuition, change from year to year. I think the ACT range last year was 31-32. I think your son would definitely get it with his stats. I do not think the freshman award is given to OOS applicants but you should check. He would be competitive for the Presidential Scholarship and he should apply for that. It’s another $4800 per year but the real advantage is the $12,000 you get for summer study, the interaction with your fellow scholarship recipients, and the University support.
