Does wake forest host any open house type programs that are more extensive than the typical tour and info session?

Check the website. When D was looking at schools (3 years ago) Wake had a full day event -- on a Friday, I think. In addition to the regular info session I remember students going off to mock classes while parents heard more info about Financial Aid, etc.

thanks!!! was this during the summer or the fall? does anyone else have more recent information?

It was in early September -- I remember D missed school, and we visited Wake on Friday and then drove to Davidson for a similar day long open house the next day.

I think that they still do the programs in the fall. I know that they used to invite students on a Friday and invite them to spend the night with a student, and now they spread the overnight visits across the semester rather than one of two days. But I think that they still have the organized days.

anybody else know anything about something like this for this fall??

I did the thing that CBBBlinker was talking about. It was definitely still going on last year and I think it was in the fall, or possibly winter. I'm pretty sure they offer them frequently though.

My son and I attended an Open House on a Monday in February during Presidents Bday week. It was a very well organized day, but in the end I think we would have both preferred a regular info session/tour. If I remember correctly, the admissions officer said there were over 200 students visiting that day. Good luck.
